The women’s fellowship group, also known as WORD (Women of Religious Diversity), is a vital part of what means “Community” at Dublin Community Church. We are a very diverse group of women in every way, age, background, lifestyle, and denomination. We have many members of Dublin Community Church who attend, and many others from other Dublin and area church congregations.
We invite you to join our very active, diverse group of women as we study, fellowship, and support each other. We have two groups that meet regularly from September through May each year.
WORD a.m. will begin a study of the book of Nehemiah on Friday, Jan. 25. This is a video/workbook study by Kelly Minter. Cost of the book is $12, cash or check made payable to Dublin Community Church. We will meet each Friday, 9:15-11:15, through March 15, in the Goodwill Room. We will be off on Feb. 15 due to Dublin Schools being closed, and also on March 29 for Spring Break. We will begin a new study led by Pastor Lisa Bowersock on April 5. Childcare will be provided each week at no cost.
WORD p.m. meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings of each month in the Parlor. We will continue our study of the book and DVD titled The Shelter of God’s Promises, by Sheila Walsh. The only cost is for the workbook, which is $10. (Childcare is not provided for WORD p.m.)
Please contact Barb Anderson, 614-766-2214, tanderso@columbus.rr.com, or Jessa Haynes, 614-766-0723, jessupfield@yahoo.com for more information or to sign up.
We look forward to continuing our journey of faith together as we welcome even more interested women to this wonderful group. We hope you’ll join us as we seek to learn more about God’s Word, and His plan for our lives.

A few comments from our group when asked to give their thoughts on WORD include:
“Everyone is very welcoming. They always provide an opportunity for me and my friends to talk about our faith, its differences and similarities.”
“Besides becoming more knowledgeable of the Bible, I’ve been fulfilled to be a part of such a gracious, supportive, and warm group of women. It has been a gift from God.”
“Being a part of this group has helped me stay more in touch with my spiritual self.”
“I feel so strengthened by this group. They build me up through prayer, support, humor, and general fellowship.”
“You can feel the love and support the moment you walk in.”
